Gavin, I\'m really sorry to hear that brother. sending lots of love your way.....
KindsM- If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?
Perhaps the simplest thing would be to get another job. Not necessarily something overly drastic, but a shock to your routine could lhelp eleviate what kinda sounds liek things getting overly mundane. Although, what the
**** would I know I don\'t think there\'s any I\'ve done everyday for 5 years let alone 13.
It\'s perfectly normal to question why life sucks sometimes... I think we do it in order to place more value on things that are NOT material objects.
People shape your life and world. If they are constantly unhappy, you will have some of that energy placed onto you. A good idea is to celebrate every moment, no matter how insignificant. For example, while in rush hour traffice on the way to your job, think: "I\'m so lucky to get to see these beautiful red, yellow and orange autumn trees!"
The "Law of Attraction" is a great movie that focuses on the topic that your mindset can shape/change/alter the life you live. I\'d say watch the movie, and try it out!
Wow some of the replies are surprising.
I appreciate the "advice" but was merely venting about life in general etc.
As for the days of old comment. I guess one might argue that life was about survival in the truest forms. Sure we have made leaps and bounds medically and live longer but at what cost. Think of it this way, were those folks worried about economic collapse ? were they worried about having a job ? In the modern world the lives of many tend to revolve around commercialism, there is no need to hunt, fish, sculpt, others do it for you. I guess it comes down to the "Ignorance is bliss" idea. The more we know about our world, the more interconnected we all are, the more bullshit we have to deal with, the more things we all worry about etc etc
Either way life goes on. Hopefully I will be able to live out my dream of having a house on 100+ acres no neighbors etc etc.
Get yerself a pair of black sabbath converse. all will be right again in the world.
if you get that house....be sure to throw a party.
gavin.....you are so in my thoughts!
I try to improve myself everyday.
Not always big things, like being a better person, (whatever your employee title is), (whatever your relationship titles are), (whatever faith you practice), but always trying to be better at something.
For example, I try to make the omlete I am having for breakfast the best omlete I have ever made.
I have found that this process is continueally enriching and one in which you cannot fail. A win, win situation.
Get yerself a pair of black sabbath converse. all will be right again in the world.
If you google "awesome" these probably come up on the first page.
we\'re put on this world to do one of two things, live a life and be forgotten like 99% of the people, or actually do something worthwhile and leave a proper impression on the world.
i\'m okay with being forgotten as long as i know i\'ve done what i can to make the world a better place.
and while you\'re out trying to make everyone happy, you can\'t truly make people happy until you yourself are happy.
and huge vibes go out to you gavin ::hugs::
Sounds like you need to go down to the local bakery and hook up with that cookie maker you\'ve been crunching numbers for.
if you get that house....be sure to throw a party.
