Of course Joe Lieberman was going to lose a primary election with only registered Democrat voters.  It wasn\'t as big a deal, in my opinion, as it was made out to be.  Lieberman was the defacto Republican candidate, not an Independent.  To me it is no shock that Lieberman won.

Alan Schlesinger was pretty much ostracized by the republican party so noone was really interested in him.  I think too that people had a hard time warming up to Ned Lamont.

For the first time ever there is a woman Speaker of the House. Nancy Pelosi.

If this means nothing to you realize she would become President if something were to happen to both the President and V.P.

That is huge in this country if you think about it.
