For most people the surgery is not bad. I had all 4 removed seperately (no dental insurance = $$$$$), 3 of which I was awake for (no one to drive me home so therefore no getting put under.) Only one of them really bothered me pain-wise, and I never got bad swelling. Even if it IS bothersome, it will only be for a day or so. You\'ll be fine.
Go easy on the smoking for at least a day or 2. Which will be hard because you\'ll want to smoke a lot, especially if you are, errr, liberal with your usage of painkillers. But I do know one person who got drysocket (I think that\'s what it\'s called) from smoking too much. Don\'t get that.
Also try not to drink a lot the day before/after the surgery. It will make you bleed more.
Other than that... lots of chicken noodle and minestrone soup, milkshakes, and other such delicious liquidy things.
**** the jello unless you have a lot of whipped cream.
