  Light snow will continue over the next hour or two...however the snow should come to an end in parts of Nassau and Fairfield counties by 9:00 AM. With temperatures still around the freezing mark the snow is sticking to most surfaces. Motorists should exercise caution if heading out on the roadways this morning due to the adverse driving conditions.  
Today
  Snow through late morning...tapering off to a chance of snow showers...then ending by mid afternoon and becoming partly cloudy. Snow will be heavy at times this morning. Storm total snow accumulation 3 to 6 inches. Highs around 40. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.

Untreated roads will become slippery and visibility will be sharply reduced. Allow extra travel time and drive with caution.
