What did everyone think?
Ours was ok, I thought $75 was a bit steep for cash bar and no dinner but it was great to catch up with all the dr\'s and lawyers (there are a lot of those!) especially. never know when you will need one!
no one was dancing and when it started to feel like prom night all over again it was time to leave, which was nice.
There were 3 people in our class who\'ve died in the last 10yrs which was sad to hear.
I know I\'m not the only one that went!
no meal and a cash bar. you got hosed.
$75?!?!?!?!? good lord! i\'d definitely be OUT.. lisa/justin/pitchie\'s was like $16!
yah i thought it was pretty ridiculous. bring a date and it\'s $150 for the other person, who probably couldn\'t care less about seeing the people, cash bar, and no food, made me glad i went solo!
No meal and a cash bar, what was the $75 for?
Are reunions traditionally at this time of year?
I didn\'t realize it, but I guess so. I ran into someone else yesterday that was headed to their reunion.
I\'m still blown away by this $75 reunion. What justified that kind of price?
damn, I can\'t even remember when I graduated.
Is that what a reunion costs?
me/justin/chris went to our 10th last night....
I have to say that I think we all had fun (especially chris who didn\'t want to go in the first place, but made a last second decision to attend)...
We paid $16...had a nice little buffet (the food was really good)...open bar for wine/beer/soda....cash bar for mixed drinks...dj...raffle...
Nice turn out...I think there was around 80 or so (class was around 200...so not too bad)...got to see a bunch of people we hadn\'t seen in years...
Glad u had fun

I can\'t wait to go to mine in 2007!
my 5 year cost 10 bucks......came with food, and open bar for 2 hours (beer/soda/several mixed drinks).

If it makes you feel any better my 10 year was $50 per person and that was like 5 years ago. But alas I didnt go (kind of kicking myself for having not) so I am not sure what it covered if anything. Pretty sure it was cash bar.
lisa yours sounds fantastic... someone could have planned this a lot better. they had a "reunion service" who we figured made out with about $14K for doing nothing. there was a dj who never said a word and played cheesy 90\'s music and sappy old wedding tunes, on a laptop with slightly larger than computer speakers, and cheese and crackers that went untouched. as it was at the saybrook point inn, and once i found out it was cash bar (which surprised A LOT of people), i fully expected a serious kick ass meal.
but for the people i did see and get business cards etc., and the fact that i know i would have regretted it had i not gone, i guess it was worth it.
and yes mike i guess that does make me feel a little bit better!
oh wait, here\'s the clincher, apparently we had a lot of $ left over in our class budget and our class president was a bit of a slacker, so they would only hold it 6yrs and they never planned a 5yr reunion. so "we" donated a park bench to the school in memory of the 3 classmates who\'ve died in the last 10yrs. only problem is they dedicated it to the twin brother of one of them, who of course is still living. :sigh:
