My cell phone broke over the weekend. I do not have insurance on it. The warranty was voided due to the water damage sustained in June at the Newport Folk Fest downpour. The fact that it worked after that is amazing.

I digress, my provider is AT&T which allows me to switch my SIM card to a new phone and have it work.

Does anyone have a spare AT&T phone that I can borrow for a few days until I decide my next step? Will gladly work a deal out with you or something.

I hate the coverage AT&T provides and since I will probably not find myself in the woods of Japan, I don\'t care about worldwide coverage.

So, I am thinking about buying out the contract and taking two months off before changing carriers.

Going to a prepaid.

Buying a new phone off ebay or somewhere.

or

Going back to AT&T to get an overpriced phone.

Any ideas, thoughts or wisdom anyone can provide would be great.

Think I might just go off the grid but being in sales, my boss does not support this idea at all.

screw AT&T. Krissie owed 10 buck from last month and the bill for this month isn\'t due till next week... they turned her phone off for no reason. she called them to yell and they tried to charge her 36 bucks for reactivation! she has been a customer of there\'s for 5-6 years and never had a problem before.

check craiglist for a cheap phone, once your contract is up tell them to screw! i have Tmobile now and they are really good and have flexible, cheap plans.

I have no problem buying out my contract. I have had nothing but issues with AT&T.

The coverage sucks in my home and 90% of where I go. 3 miles from the house is a tower, I should have radiation poison and full bars for service. I have neither.

I don\'t want to continue with AT&T but I need a phone like yesterday.

I\'m using the internet to text and not calling anyone.

i think i may have one from 2004 that still works with my sim card -- i can get it to ya tomorrow
