. . . for two hours tomorrow morning anyway. My former employer, Forbes Premium Fuel, in East Haven has teamed up with WPLR to offer gas tomorrow at $1.99/gallon for Regular, and 99 cents off the other grades, from 6-8am. I\'m sure some of you have heard the promo on the radio. Here\'s the deal though: DO NOT GO!!!! Why? because the
**** line will be at least 1/4-1/2 mile long. Dave Peck, you may be able to sneak in at 6:00am when it starts seeing as you live a block away.
Useless thread? Yup.
You Lucky Bastards! Here in the suburbs of Chi-Town, where gas prices are the highest in the nation, the local regional stations by me are selling gas at $3.59/gallon, and in Chicago, regular gas is selling for over $4 a gallon at some stations. The supposed cause is the shortage of the new fuel for that has to blended for the summer. I\'m anticipating by the weekend, the prices here in the burbs will be up to $4, saw a Shell station selling gas for $3.75/gallon. My suggestions is to buy all the things you need to get you through the weekend and don\'t leave the house. That way you\'ll miss the seat belt checks and roadblocks, too. My weekend is starting tonight. Everyone enjoy and please be safe. Peace. :banparty:
my neighborhood stations in arlington, ma just dropped below $3 to 2.99 2 days ago.
it\'s not worth the hassle sometimes to save $10.
sometimes.

I\'m sure there will also be a fight at some point. Tempers are bound to flare when people are jockeying for cheap gas.
I heard on the news this morning that it\'s supposed to be a brutal hurricaine season and the after effects will be gas well over $4. As to whether or not this will actually happen
always supposed to be a brutal hurricane season, thats how they get away with the gas prices in the late summer months.....
was gonna call bullshit on this thread title. cause NJ def has the cheapest gas right now. i am still payin less than 2.89
gas in North Branford has jumped daily... sometimes it\'s $3.09, other times it\'s above $3.29. I still only pay between $30-40 each time I fill up & it lasts for 1-2 weeks, though, so it doesn\'t bother me too much :idunno:
just filled up for $2.94 this morning in Agawam, MA
meh.
i went for a bike ride instead this morning.. rode by there on my way out (went down grannis and left onto north high).. didn\'t get a good look at the line, but the place was definitely jammin\', and there were a bunch of cops directing traffic.
on my way back, i went the long way - the length of north high street, around to laurel. the line was close to 1/2 mile long (around 7:20am), and stretched all the way to the beginning of the army practice field thingy:

someone who wants to do math could probably figure out how long (time) the line was (average car length, number of pumps, average fill-up time)...
no thanks.
filled up for $3.39/gal on the way to work.
but it took me 5 minutes.
I will continue to siphon gas out of the automobiles of my fellow colleagues until the price of gas is reasonable.
Screw that!
Time you would spend in line= at least an hour. Gas burned in said hour= I don\'t know, maybe a gallon or two. Money saved= $13, give or take. NOT WORTH IT!!
Time to get a locking gas cap!!
Time to get a locking gas cap!!
lucky I know you and I will only take a few gallons.
no nerds wanted to do the math equation presented earlier?

4 bucks a gallon? My heart bleeds for you.

Here in the UK, we are currently paying at least ?5 - that\'s $10 to you.
At least my trusty Volvo diesel does 45+mpg on a work run - my old petrol version was a real gas guzzler - lucky to get over 30mpg.
