so i just used my home phone to call my cell phone\'s voice mail, which i often do, because i rarely have cell service at my house.
so i\'m listening to my messages, when i hear what sounds like someone picking up and hitting redial on an 800? number - only lisa\'s sleeping, so it\'s no one here. my voice mail even recognized it as a command, and \'errored out\'... a couple seconds later, it did it again.
i hung up, but my phone still read \'in use\' (meaning someone else is on the line). i picked up, and my voice mail is still there.. hung up again, and it finally hung up.
i kept an eye on the phone for a minute, and sure enough, \'in use\' comes back on. i pick up, and it\'s ringing. the other end picked up, and sounded almost (but not quite) like a fax machine. then (what i assume was) my end sent a long, FAST (faster than \'redial\') string of numbers, and hung up. and that was that...
none of my computers are hooked up to any phone jacks, so i don\'t think i was hax0rD with some war dialer that shot out my CC number somewhere... but what the hell just happened???
I have no idea, but it seems like everything will be a-okay. see you at the castle!!!
I gave up cell phones 2 years ago. I haven\'t looked back since. I hate them and all they do. It\'s a new way to be tracked especially with todays GPS ones. Get rid of the curse.
theo(goclic)hacked into your
****.
confirmed
Well Dave you obviously have someone creeping around in your house. Please be careful, and please, don\'t sleep comfortably at night.
my best friend repeatedly had someone apparently calling 911 from her line a couple years ago. the cops would just show up at the door asking if everyone was alright and why they called 911. they had a barn outside with a phone in it and finally figured it was one of the pissed off neighbors.
Dave, you\'re being watched, no question. They\'ve been on to you for a long time.
just got some weird automated call asking me if this was the home of emilio? and than all these options about if is was his home or not. pretty fuckin strange
surprisingly just as i was reading this thread, i got a call at work and it was an automated message that said "i\'m sorry" and then hung up. weird.
i think HAL-9000 is in charge of the phones.
no
****,this happened on my house phone yesterday.
im pretty sure it has something to do with making a call, and hanging up before leaving a voicemessage..
