so i was thinking about going to moe on NYE, and found a hotel 12 miles into jersey for a cheap price.  How would anybody suggest getting into new york?  I\'ve never really been there so I don\'t know where the trains run and such.  would a taxi be the only bet?

take the nj transit to grand central and take a cab or subway to wherever you\'re going. where is moe playing?

edit: you might as well drive in and put the car in a garage on nye. the last train out of grand central leaves at like 1ish or something...unless you wanna hang out until 5am and catch the next morning train.

On NYE metro north and the trains tend to have atleast 1 train an hour. the 1AM last train out is what the trains do on a normal day but for NYE they tend to run late.

From NJ the PATH runs really late normally. I dont think it stops but has limited service.

Driving in is OK but the drive out will be an issue. They tend to have DUI check points going to NJ. they usually have them on the tunnels as you approach the toll booths
