so grandpa pat\'s computer refuses to output any sound from youtube clips.... but gets sound on apparently everything else on his computer and throughout the world wide web... if a nerd fixes this in the next 10 mins ill buy you a beer next weekend

What browser is Gramps using for the internet? There are options on all (firefox, ie, netscape, etc.) for various websites... maybe a cookie/firewall for the youtube website needs to be deactivated?
