The real Groundhog, Jimmy of Sun Prairie, WI did not see his shadow so it\'s going to be an early spring.

EARLY SPRING!

Jimmy\'s limo was escorted by two Sun Prairie fire trucks, complete with sirens and lights! It was the first year to hold the Prognostication at Cannery Square - and there was a good sized crowd to welcome Jimmy. Jimmy sported a little top hat and bow tie this year! Jerry said that they had a tough time getting him to wake up yesterday, but today Jimmy was up and ready to go to work! He must have known that this is THE DAY!

The sky was a bit overcast, but we didn\'t really know for sure what Jimmy would say... there were a lot of flood lights there for the television cameras! Jimmy was held up high, and he peeked over the buildings, sniffed the air - then whispered to the Mayor... EARLY SPRING!!! The crowd cheered.

Jimmy visited with the crowd and posed politely for photographs. He\'s off to visit all the kids in Sun Prairie schools today... I hope they enjoy him as much as the crowd did this morning!

Are you talking **** about the said groundhog? Do you really think that the groundhog doesn\'t know what he is doing? It is a gift that runs in his family. Don\'t knock the groundhog, I think hes got it under control. Don\'t have to trust him.
