Question for anybody from NY who may know this.....what time can stores sell beer in the morning? I know in MA we can\'t sell until 9:30 or so, but what about New York? Heading to moe.down early friday morning and want to stock up on the way...thanks.

nice....thanks.
How early are you getting into NY?
If you want solid facts make the call.
hopefully getting to Turin for 9, so hoping to stock up in Utica around 8, but I\'ll probably be running late. Your right, I should probably make the call tonight just to double check....always thinking, I like your style

I don\'t see how any store that sells alcohol isn\'t open by 8 a.m.
You should be good to go.
As you all know, I am from Port Chester. Can\'t say I made too many early beer purchases, but before Camp Bisco last year they made us wait until 10am at the Port Chester Stop and Shop. I guess it could have been 9, but I am remembering 10. Not sure if that is everywhere, but I am sure if you just found a beer store (b/c there are no beer & wine & liquor stores in NY) they might be open/selling earlier.
I remember going to a beer distributer in utica really early in the morning because I was hung over as the morning after the pre-moe down thrown down the year bfast owned the festy...if that helps at all.
Go to a 24-hr. supermarket, such as Price Chopper or Hannaford. Wait, not sure if those are in Utica... Convenience stores are typically open all night. Liquor is def. different...usually open from 10 or 11am-6pm on Sundays.
I recall Stevie Gencs planning his Budweiser consumption one night while we were all staying in Syracuse in Feb 2007.
Pretty sure he bought enough to last until 6am, at which time he was planning on going back to the store to re-stock and continue the party into the daylight hours.
Gencs - you are pretty sick!

That was a great weekend!
Ithaca show that Thursday night (Garcian opener, debut of Tunage) 2 night stand at the Mezzanotte on Friday and Saturday and then Super Bowl Sunday. Me and my old roommate showed up early and polished off a bottle of red label at Mezzanotte before setbreak on night 1. I definitely remember a lot of shots post-show Saturday night and a lot of cursing of the Bears. Good times!
the only state restriction that I know about in NY is no beer sales before noon on Sunday but they may have repealed that.
According to the google.
They repealed the noon on sunday law in 2006. According to the info beer can now be sold as early as 8AM on Sunday morning.
Here is link for each county if u want to find out specific info
