Take a 2 liter bottle. Fill it a little over 3/4 full of powdered or crushed(fine as possible) herb. Take the cap of the bottle and poke very small hole in it to fit tip of butane can in. Now fill the bottle until herb is covered. It takes a little quickness to change cans but not too bad. Once filled keep last can on and shake can and bottle together like mad until the liquid inside becomes yellowish. Now turn the cap slowly releasing pressure as you would a shook up soda bottle. Take a coffee filter and filter liquid out into a shallow pan bottom covered in wax paper. Let sit and evaporate. Place in freezer once all liquid has evaporated. Let sit until hard. Flake off and remember when it starts to soften up it will get VERY STICKY. Place on top of weed. Burn slowly and enjoy.

true. I for one would never let the bottle get that full. I\'d smoke the **** outta that shake in dyre times....which is often. Can\'t say i\'ve ever made any hash of my own. But i did see an instructional video involving spreading a lotta crushed up herb over a big ass screen, then scraping and baking the residue into a little brick of heaven. It\'s the crack of the weed world.

and one question, can you still smoke the shake after you do the butane filtering thing? or would that be ill-advised?

Yeah well this is as stated in the 1st post of the thread basically to get rid of large amounts of leaf material left over from harvesting. You could smoke alot of the sugar leaf sure but waterleaf is just nasty to smoke so may as well get what you can from it.
I would not recommend smoking the residue herb as all the THC has already been extracted anyway.
