I can handle the fact I have a violation, but $50?

Even worse, I got a $200 parking ticket a few months back. I said to myself, "$200, why stop there?  why not gouge me for $2,000?".

Everyone is worried about businesses fleecing people but there are tons of watchdog groups and organizations all over the place to keep many in check.  Who is here to protect us from greedy municipal governments who mismanage their finances and take freely the incomes of the people?  Voters seem to leave these people in office when they should be booted.

Al, I believe meters are in force until 9 in this area.

9pm is pushing it - most meters run till 6pm in the places I\'ve visited and lived in.  9 = NTD

It has been 9pm in Chicago for as long as I can remember. $50 is such bullshit... but somebody has to pay for a 2016 Olympics that will never come to fruition anyways.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash
