2nd Set off the **** hook.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

The first set was owned by the Tribal Soundwich. Slowed funk jam at the end of TFA was dirty (1st jam was pretty good, but certainly not the best I\'ve heard) but The Sound was the overall highlight, and their patient segue back into Tribal was flawless.

Not gonna lie-- I missed the Wilson intro. But whatever, I walked into the best Buquebus I\'ve ever heard. Both jams were incredible, the 2nd was as fluid as anything I\'ve heard the band play. Progressive, funky, and wholly danceable. I don\'t know what to say about the rest of the set, they didn\'t let up at all. Spunk was insanity, Chris\'s solo was soooooo tasty, and they just kept riding the heavy funk train that had the room in spins. After flubbing the very last beat to lead into the jam (everything before was perfect), Reba built mountains in Chicago. I was choked up. They pushed it further than anyone expected, just incredible peaks. I think they picked up the tempo at some point, a double-time section or something? I don\'t know, heavy ****. And Rufus was deliberately **** with people. To drop that bomb after an already huge set was silly. Once again-- FLUID. They tapped into something really special in this set, I\'m confident y\'all will feel the same when you get a chance to hear it.

Crowd anywhere from 65-100 people at a given time.. I\'m really unsure of its peak, could\'ve been more than a hundred. I was also there with 17 people. Regardless, it was a very happy crowd, a great atmosphere.

Good times Ricky Roux. Dave and Mike-- class acts. helluvahat deflated his blow-up mattress/folded his blanket; Dave didn\'t leave any Spunk on my roommates bed before making it.

Great night in Chicago.

btw, they had 5 cameras recording the show.
