Is it just me, or does the beginning of see the light sound a lot like SCI?

Sounds a lot like The Beatles to me.  :P  But I know what you mean, there\'s that super happy dancy beat going on.

From the first time I heard STL, I\'ve called it their "String Cheese tune". And by saying the \'beginning\' I assume you mean the beginning of the inverted live versions. But yes, the tune no doubt could be pulled apart and eaten in flimsy yellow strands.
The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

i always thought of it more as a phish-sounding tune.  one of the first things i remember about the breakfast.  the middle part sounds a LOT like \'lizards\'.

I was just going to say the same thing.  It\'s a very Phishy tune.

I remember telling Tim back in the day about the middle part being lifted from Lizards. He just laughed hysterically and said Adrian wrote that section...

speaking of lizards, ive always though episode 1 sounds a LOT like lizards, both in the drum beat and the chords played

in fact, you can actually sing the lyrics to the first verse of lizards when tim starts playing the main chords of the song "passing through the corridor, i came upon..." and it kinda fits in sync.

There is defintiely a vocal "Norwegian Wood" tease before the "Across the Universe" tease in "See the Light"... if we\'re gonna start nitpicking, let\'s get serious!

Also, there\'s a "Birdland" (Weather Report) tease a little after the 12 minute mark (before the \'Queeb tease)... and in case its not becoming readily apparent, I\'m listening to this show for the first time since Sunday.
