Would love to go but that\'s my grandparents\' 50th wedding anniversary...I even have family flying in from overseas for cryin\' out loud. I would get kicked out of my real fam :(

Looking at road updates from Log Jam to Menomonie:
Travel route S35 to E694 to E94:

you should be fine up in the northern part of the state.  No closures that I see up there.

Not sure where the van is headed after that....looks like you guys woul dhead back thru Madison and around towards Chicago.  There is a f%$*(n detour on 94 westbound between Milwaukee and Madison that takes you 115 miles out of the way - I found out about that one after flying home yesterday.  You guys will be heading south after Madison and should be ok the rest of the way.
