^^agreed. With the name of the venue and the poster at hand I feel like I\'m showing up to some 1920\'s Chicago speak-easy. Gonna get drunk off some illegal scotch, pull out my pocket watch, wink at the bartender and say things like, "Stay cool my kitten. I\'ll be in the alley with fire in five."

Oh, and sing about imaginary characters from Blubladan. :D

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

A powerfully packed shorter than usual Voodoo to close out the night due to a bullshit close time of 2am.

that\'s why i love the Kinetic Playground - bar is open until 4am!
Don\'t shoot the messenger it\'s not his fault...
It\'s just a drag when you\'re the last one to know.

Noooo ****!

Are you coming up with anyone Jen?
I\'ve got a blow up mattress, an uncomfortable couch, and a camp-style mattress pad if anyone needs to crash post show. Let me know if you\'re in need of accomodations.

In case you were wondering, the Kinetic has taken a turn for **** in recent months, and thats why the show is at Reggies.

I haven\'t set foot in there since April and have no plans of ever going back.

Probably more things internally than things most of you see.  They\'ve made it very difficult to make having a show there worthwhile, from a business perspective.  These things are what have lead to higher cover prices for less talented bands in recent months.

I was going to say I saw Groundation in July and a friend\'s band a couple of weeks ago, had a blast! Still got stoned, still paid the same (slightly overpriced) amount for beer, chilled in the green room with the band where I was able to actually smoke a cig inside. But too much for cover I will agree with. $15 for a band that\'s never been to Chicago?? Groundation had to be slightly disillusioned when actually stepping foot inside rather than looking at pictures online. The venue is fun, but it also feels like a basement.

Why the hell do the openers get the same slot of time to play? I hope this is incorrect. No reason both openers shouldn\'t have an hour set to open up at least 2 for the headliner---The **** Breakfast.

Well, it only seems fair for the station, as that is what is happening the previous night, no?  Breakfast early, station late, equal amount of playing time...?

granted i don\'t know how the hue is gettin involved like that...
