I have seen Toad\'s Place tickets in some of the most peculiar places. Like in gas stations in the middle of no where, in delis and even, yes, music stores. Music Stores are a great idea in the sense that most people who go to the stores appreciate music on a different length then some of us, so it is a way to capture an unexpecting audience.
I personally really think that what needs to be emphasized here and at this point has not been, promotionally is, 1000th Show. Need to create a buzz and transform the idea of a show in a party. People like parties. Even if you are not a huge fan of the band, hearing about a 1000th show is a milestone even a donkey could figure that out.
just some thoughts
Well a donkey is a step ubove 3/4 of the people on this board so don\'t assume too much.....
Those passes will be ideal. There are bunch of places where the "tickets" would be a better idea than flyers and vice versa. I am located in Wallingford, can meet anywhere. Will be at Richter\'s even when I say I won\'t.
The production office @ Toads has promised me that they are printing the passes as we speak.
*Promise from Toad\'s production=absolutely worthless.
WildCoyote: Hey what\'s up?! Did you guys print those passes yet?
Toad\'s Production: Yeah....sure...uhh, we\'re doing it right now. Can\'t you hear the press running?
WC:You\'re making those noises with your mouth.
They do have to see me face to face on Saturday so perhaps they\'ll actual do it. I\'ll def. have them on for Wed. Richters even if I have to print them myself. The avatar photo is pretty recent, you\'ll recognize me right away.

I know that feeling.
There is no way I can miss you on Wednesday. I\'ll print that picture, cut it out and laminate it, so I can carry it in my wallet on Wednesday.

is it really that high? 3/4? man, :sigh:
Someone should write a blurb to jambands.com and also get in touch with someone at jambase. Maybe we can have jambase do a promotion and give away some tickets. Also someone should make an online add for this and possibly have Phantasy Tour post it. I don\'t the first thing about making online ad\'s so this is just a frugal suggestion.
so, I am going to Staples this morning to pick up the 101 b&w and 101 color flyers I got made up for the Toad\'s show. Roughly about 808 copies. I need places to drop them or shows to get rid of them at. If you have any ideas let me know. I am also going to talk to the person down there about printing off some of the Tour Posters and putting them in stores. Like Billard Halls, Liquior Stores, CD and Head shops, etc. If you know of a place that would like to hang one of these posters let me know. They will be printed in color.
Thanks.
Hook me up with 4 copies of the posters. Got Cue & Screw in Branford and 3 liquor stores covered!!! I will also leave a stack of tix at each. I will at least swing by on Wed. night for those.

alright alright ...............................................1/2, happy now?
treychica, jambase wants $$$ for ads on the site and even to give away tickets. its all $$$. while this is a special ocassion this is a decision to be made by management. great idea, I like it.
Picked up the Flyers/Handbills. They look good especially the color ones. They need to be in color to be alive. The black and white ones although nice just look like crap next to color.
I will get 10-15 posters printed up this weekend and have them ready for Wednesday.
Spacey do you want me to email Alex or do you want to?

Feel free to. I have a lot of little things that I am trying to get ironed out.
Derick purchased a promotional tool that you can use with myspace that we want to get up and running. With 79 million people on myspace there has to be at the least 10,000 who want to get down with the Breakfast.

A Press Release (free!) should be planted in the weekend/calendar sections of the NH Ragister, Advocate (Fairfield, NH and Hartford), Play, Waterbury Republican, Hartford Courant, Meriden Journal, and any other worthy local papers.

1000% pehaps we can do it for the beginning of June. That way it isn\'t too far ahead.
Does anyone write well enough to put together a small press release?
Pitchy works at (and writes for) The Sound, etc., a local shoreline paper that quite a bit of people read. HOOK IT UP!!!!
Good News- I finally have the reduced admission passes, and will bring them to Richters on Wed., and hopefully CODA on Sat.
Bad News- Toad\'s told me the reduced price would be $10, instead it\'s $12.99 so there is no difference between the pass and the advanced sale price. I knew they\'d find a way to hose me on the deal somehow.
Good News- Especially for all the youngsters. There is no stipulation on the pass that you must be 21+ to take advantage. This is probably a printing error, but hold them to it, and it will be honored.
