NoHo brewery is ok, not the greatest food. Packard\'s has some of the best pub food up there....if your looking for a great beer selection, go to the dirty truth or toasted owl. If you want wings, make the short trip to Amherst for the hanger
If you just want a normal, clean place to sleep with cable TV... go for the Clarion.
Is this within walking distance? Just curious what the area is like. Anything under a mile is walking distance for me. But then again, it will prob. be cold.

No it\'s not really within walking distance. You have to head down Rt 5 & 10 towards Holyoke for a couple minutes. It\'s on the right. Actually I don\'t know of any reasonably priced places within easy walking distance of downtown. There\'s the Hotel Northampton but if the rooms are anything like the meals you better be ready to pony up!

yeah, board patches at the iron horse are a no-go. forget about running mics on stage and running them through the snake.
Dave, If some how you get a board patch. I\'ll bring enough cables to run mics to the stage.
It still might be worth e-mailing the venue ahead of time for a patch. I have seen Ryan Montbleau record multitrack from the board\'s direct outs a few years ago. I would be curious what they say or charge. It\'s not totally out of the question.
matt - if you want to do the legwork with that, feel free. but i\'ve gotten enough grief from both the FOH guy and the owner there in the past to know that i don\'t want to be bothered with it.

good beer, good food, big place, they don\'t take reservations.
So so so psyched for this show.
I\'m going to do IH > day off > work > going to NYC for James\' bday to see Young Frankenstein (the musical) and maybe some music, sleep over in the city > museums
