gonna be hard to make it out that early without flying
detroit lakes is in northern minnesota, i think you could fly into minneapolis but then you\'ll still have to drive 5-6+ hours..?? not for sure though, they might have little muni airports that fly up there, maybe even a sketchy puddle jumper boat plane thing haha. but i think its closer to fargo, north dakota, so maybe plan on flying into there
yea the site says fargo is 45 minutes...reconsidering cause of the wednsay slot honestly
HOORAY!
These boys are kicking ass! keep up the great work steffmo...
Woo hoo! :stoned:

and got this response:
Hi Robyn,
The touring schedules just didn\'t work out for the Breakfast to be involved
this year. They are great, and will surely be back in future years. Thanks
for the email and have a great day!

Has them listed at the \'field\' stage, not the barn stage.
Hooray for the festival putting them on the field stage!!!! If you look at
the map you\'ll see that the field stage is MUCH better than the barn stage!!!! It\'s right on the back side of the open area from the main stage! The barn stage would have been only a step up from the saloon stage, that they stuffed the nuts out of last year. VERY happy to see a perfect time slot for them too, 11 pm, as opposed to...what was it, like 1 or 2 am? Should be able to get all those who missed them last year because they went to bed at midnight!!!

my quick search yielded nothing below $410ish to Fargo. $312 cheapest to Minneapolis from Providence, nothing cheaper than $356 from Bradley, $288 from JFK, $255 from LaGuardia.
Gettin lower. $232 from white plains, ny
i dont know what to do with this wedsnay set thing
The fest is Wed-Sat this year instead of Thurs-Sun. Kinda strange.... not sure of the motivation behind that decision, but it means I have to travel like hell to get there in time for the Breakfast. It\'s about a 12 hour journey for me so I\'ll probably drive part of the way Tuesday after work.
Detroit Lakes is 4-5 hours from Minneapolis - most of that is a straight shot on I-94. Consider that if you fly into Fargo you\'ll avoid those extra hours in the car plus the cost of a tank of gas. It may be worth the extra bucks on the flight to North Dakota.
The Saloon was crowded as sh!t last year. The Field Stage is perfect and I think the time slot will draw really well... unless people skip Wednesday entirely because of work schedules, travelling, etc. I\'m sure that everyone who comes up Wednesday will be ready to \\RAWK/ by 11pm!

hey scott - for some reason i thought you weren\'t going this year. glad to hear you are!
you plan on recording the b\'fast?
have fun!
I was kinda surprised by the Wednesday gig but not it makes sense since the festival is Wednesday-Saturday. I\'m sure that all those who make it to the field stage Wednesday will be very impressed. Enjoy the festival!
yea it wouldnt be a big deal if the fest was in NY or even the NE but trying to make it all the way out there by wednesday with no airports around is gonna be tricky.

I thought my festival-going budget was shot after Summercamp and Wakarusa, but I lucked into someone\'s "+1" spot in VIP :disco: That makes it worth the 12+ hour drive!
I certainly hope to tape the Breakfast, but it will depend on the person whose +1 I\'m taking. I doubt I\'ll be able to get in until after his arrival... Suffice to say that if I\'m there I\'ll tape their set!
