Attendees traveled far and wide to experience the festival\'s eclectic mix of top local artists and world class touring acts from around the globe. In addition to quality entertainment, the festival also featured regional artisans and notable food vendors providing culinary delights. Last year?s festival proved to be a great time for both families and music fans alike. The 2008 Hop Bottom Arts and Music Festival kicks off Friday evening (July 18) at 4pm with "Barn Dance East," an acoustic jam hosted by Austin Texas\' Leeann Atherton (http://www.fullmoonbarndance.com). Leeann is famous for her ?Full Moon Barn Dance? gatherings held during Austin?s South By South West Music Festival and on every full moon in Austin. Leeann will be joined by her Russian counterpart Zhenya (Former Red Elvises guitarist/singer). ?Barn Dance East,? as it is billed, will be full of surprises and is not to be missed. Jammy award winner, national touring act and festival mainstay, The Breakfast (CT) (http://www.thebreakfast.net), cap off Friday nights entertainment. National recording artist and Timmy Award winning singer, Danny Nova (NJ) (http://www.dannynova.com) will perform on Saturday night (July 19). Danny has been a supporting act for music legends such as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Mason (Traffic, Fleetwood Mac) and Nazareth, to name a few. The rest of Saturday?s musical performances are an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Country, and Rock. Notable acts include Cabinet (PA), Marc Silver and the Stonethowers (PA) and Grammar Debate! Much to our surprise Danny Nova will be performing with a group of musicians with some very notable credentials. Known for having a special panache in his original delivery, Nova\'s presence on stage conveys an up close and personal relationship with adoring crowds and devout listeners. This year at Hop Bottom Danny will be accompanied by Muddy Shews former bassist of South Side Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Walter King former drummer of Bobby Brown, Percussionist Kevin Macintosh former drummer of George Clinton\'s Parliament Funkadelic, and renowned percussionist from Africa, Sheik. This high spirited, whimsical acoustic ensemble of world class percussive and rhythm section players, engage in playful antics and interaction with Nova, uplifting the spirits of even the hardest to please concert enthusiasts.
So get your dancing shoes on ladies and gentlemen. The Hop Bottom Arts & Music Festival is just around the corner. We hope you take full advantage of all it has to offer.

One of, if not the best show I have seen this year.

Show was probably somewhere in the 100-110 minute range

Whole set was just lettin it all hang out to the fullest

SER nannies after the show including break dancing competition, reba>the message, bug, tweeprise>OE and a mash up of about 50 other tunes in the vip tent. Good times. hoping to do both shows next weekend after last night.
