well, since our weekend of camping and tubing down the shenendoah got cancelled due to freak accident, it looks like we\'ll be bringing a coule more folks than originally expected. so, that\'s cool.

post (we were all psyched for the weekend), but we are regretfully
cancelling our party.

Why? Cause Trace had an accident on Saturday, and may need to stay in
SC for surgery next week.

She\'s OK, but here\'s the story. It involves a water slide and a dog.
Usually Jason & Jennie set up a slip & slide down the hill of the back
yard into the pond. This year they got an extra cool version with a
big blow-up ramp,water sprays, etc. This was set up on the hill with
about 50 ft of plastic sheeting below to send a slider on a float into
the pond. It was pretty awesome. Several folks made it in safely
before and after the event. Trace\'s run looked good as she slid
towards the pond. At the last minute a chocolate lab stepped in the
way and they collided heads at full speed. The dog was fine, Trace was
not quite as lucky.

She lacerated her eyelid about 2 inches across and fractured bones in
her eye orbital and sinus. She had 6 stitches in her eyelid Saturday
night at the ER in Augusta, GA. The plastic surgeon yesterday said she
actually had 4 or 5 fractures (not 2 as we beleived Sat night). He
wants to remove stitches Friday and assess her condition after some
swelling has gone down (he gave her prednisone to help). Until then we
won\'t know if any sursery is necessary. If it is, that will be on
Tuesday in Columbia.

So, Trace will be in SC this weekend. She said we could have the party
w/o her, but that just doesn\'t seem right. I\'m flying back down this
weekend and staying through until our closing next Thursday.

yeah, her family has some weird freak accident>face mojo. her cousin (who\'s house they were at) was in a car accident with a deer. the deer was fine but jennie had years\' worth of reconstructive surgery on her face. she still isn\'t back to normal yet, either...

yikes! eye injuries are **** spooky!!

damn. wish i could make it to the funk box (8x10)... it\'s definitely one of my favorite small venues to check out the band. check out the green room area while you\'re there! also, try to find street parking rather than the garage, there\'s definitely a lot around if you hunt for it.

yeah great green room I love hanging out on the roof and peepin out the city.

good luck finding parking it is definately a hunt, but maybe it\'s just cause I was always trying to park the van and trailer, what a pain in my ass.
