origen- I was just referencing what steffmo posted earlier.. SoHo was a cool spot, the show last time there was pretty sick for a monday night..

Cool.  So hopefully Soho is still a possibility.  Now we just need the authorities to make a few calls and its on.  And this is not one dude begging for a gig because it\'s convenient for me - everybody is in agreeance that Soho 10/19 is a great idea.

^^^I doubt it Al, it seems like the only gaps to be filled are on the way back home (Tempe>???????>CT)

They should try to play at Jupiter in Berkeley on Wednesday (the place I took you and Chris to, where you drink beer outside by the stage).  Not sure what type of money they pay bands, but it would certainly be better than not playing at all on that evening.
I\'ve actually been to Jupiter in Berkley, and it is a very small venue with basically no dance floor room around the stage, but it is a very nice venue - and a smaller venue might be ideal for a wed. night gig.  I agree that that wed/ thursday needs to be filled and if there is no better option you might as well play Berkley.  But also keep in mind I know a ton of people who live in Santa Barbara, and if they schedule a gig there I can bring a sizable crew to the show.

Were you out on the deck/patio out back?  That is a good spot for a Wednesday night.

The crowds there usually talk over the bands and nobody dances, but perhaps a Breakfast feast would shake up the crowd.

They should definitely get back to Soho, and try to play Santa Cruz for the first time.  There are a bunch of old UMass PB fans that live in Santa Cruz.

????????
Man that would suck!
Not only is there no key player but the only person that can really rein in this band\'s sound will not be on tour?

Bummer to the nth degree!

Other income-generating commitments?  Lack of interest?

I\'m always down for a hometown show :)

But I\'d love to see them playing the Pearl St. Ballroom instead

I don\'t know for a fact why Dobson is not going on tour. I\'m sure that the per diem is not enough for him to leave him this time. I know that he is building a studio in his home and needs to pay his morgage.

Can someone teach the extra hands of Stephen Gencs some of the basics?

while i\'m sure jenx could pull off doing some "basic" sound, I have no doubts that he has NO extra hands on the road.  From what I\'ve seen & heard, he\'s doing more than enough.   And actually, he could probably use a few MORE hands (and functioning brain cells) on his journeys
