They used to bore the hell out of me back in the day and I couldn\'t understand why PB was opening up for them at Toads and other shows.  It wasn\'t long before it was the other way around.  Maybe it\'s just me, but for a band that had been around for all those years, I expected more.  Then again, I also found Uncle Sammy to be boring.

In keeping an open mind, suggest a good MC show and I\'ll try and give it a listen.

Oh man, I understand completely. Some bands just don\'t do it for you. I\'m sorry if I came off too snippy; I love those guys and have taken many trips with them and feel spiritually imbued with Creekiness, but of course, thats just me. I am a little peeved at myself for not just suggesting a show to check out in the first place. Here are a couple I dig for various reasons, check them out and see what you think. Max Creek\'s music may be a little mellower than the Breakfast but the fans sure as hell are not.  In fact there is a dark underbelly to their fanbase IMHO.

All I gotta say is Spin Ray and Pat the Head dancer mos def qualify as sketchy... not that I do not qualify as well!!

I hardly think MC is afraid of the Breakfast. They\'ve been doing this **** for thirty years. I think the bands draw equally in many markets which makes it not a good supporting situation. I purchased "the History of Max Creek 1971 - 1996 " yes they have a book.. at a flea market last month for a dollar!!! Quick read.

I love that 25 year anniversary scrapbook. I bought mine at the Webster that night! Good times. I am a longtime Creekfreek but I am way more excited right now for the Breakfast. I wish they could do two sets, or a late night blowout.
