Since all I need is to complete my Student Teaching, I think I might become a teacher. I already have a minor in it, just need to finish it.
Thanks Robyn!
d-Dubs, lets not making promises we can\'t keep now.
hey, i show up if i say i\'m going to show up..... i maybe late or i may need to leave early... but i\'m there..... with the minor exception being NYE and the last couple months because i can\'t pay to eat much less drive 2hrs by myself>party>drive home 2hrs by myself........ but i still get up to Boston and want not to do promo......
so your saying its going to be like a Dave Matthews Band lot scene?
from the pictures i saw on the sight i would have to say probably. but the place is spaced out enough where we can make a whole other little community.
BEER PONG any one!!!!!!
Edited to add~ if you click on the link above, there\'s a picture of folks sitting in the creek and jill and i are at the top (farthest from the photographer). lol!
And peep StevieG\'s brother also!
So far today, I\'ve seen Shark Tale, Sahara, and now we\'re watching Cars.
Wait a minute... I thought you taught 6th grade?
yeah - & the movies were played for 7th and 8th graders too!
ahh good \'ol CMT\'s, I remember when I was a way-above average student and aced them things. what the hell happened after that I have no idea. . .
Yet another example of standardized testing not working.
Just kidding Ant!

What class(es) were the movies played in? I don\'t recall that much film in school, none of which seems relevant to education.
:sigh: ok, thread derailment...
Our school, as ghetto as it is, has a TV in every room for a "Carrigan AM" news program - run by 8th graders. Movies are played at will, as long as someone has a dvd to put in. This week, because of standardized tests, seems like teachers have been putting in dvd\'s to deal with kids after they take these 3 hr. tests. You never know when a movie will come on, so most of us teachers just keep the TV\'s power on, & enjoy the free time!

And, now, back to your regularly scheduled posts....
****, in the early \'70\'s, we watched movies all the time in our English class in high school, but I presume it was so our teacher could sleep off her hangover. She was a mess. Seriously!

bump because it looks like i may really be attending this after all. i\'ve secured a ticket, at the very least. i dont think jill\'s gonna make it out though... if we\'re going, she wants to hangout in the creek all day again, but since we have a prior engagement saturday, she doesn\'t think she\'ll be up for a dc>pa>dc>lexington,va>dc day trip... me, i\'m not too worried. i like masochism...
nevermind. the universe is a
**** ****, so we\'ll be in stamford at the hospital with jill\'s mom, instead.
sorry to hear that jay. please send our thoughts and love to Jill and her mom, hope all is well......
