Another upstate-r hopefully in for this one.. and more for the carpool!:wave:
the place fuckin rages. byob. smoke weed inside. crazy college kidz. two long sets and an encore and they played extremely well there last time. they just thrashed every song they set into and the crowd ate it up. very packed in and primal.
sounds kinda like the upstate puppethouse. i\'m there.
This is a really fun and laid back venue and i suggest anyone who doesn\'t mind driving to north bumfuck to check it out.
The shows are booked and run by st. lawrence kids living in a hippie "frat" called the java house. They are actually allocated funds by the university (keeping in mind that it is a very expensive private school) to put on these shows. Bands used to play in an actual barn behind the frat house. Those were the days... now they have a little on-campus venue, but still has a anything goes attitude.
My only advice: If you are traveling with contraband (which no one on this board would ever do i\'m sure) watch out for road blocks, it is seriously close to the Canadian border.
Funny story actually;
One road trip from Umass, we got stopped and searched with a vat of ganja butter and 50 cookies but they let us go after my friend calmly explained that his mother had packed him some "green soup" and snacks to share with his friends at St. Lawrence. oooohhh how i miss college.

Wow, those cops must not get the concept of such dank smelling paste. LOL glad it worked out for you!
cops are definitely crazy up there. We saw one every 5 or 10 miles for the last hour and a half of the trip and speed traps galore. Be careful if you go.

Nice to see them giving the Northeast some love. Doesn\'t happen too often.
