Damn. As sketchy as Asbury Park is, I was looking forward to this after the show this summer. The club itself isn\'t bad.
I was planning on going before I booked tickets to CA for that weekend. I\'m glad I couldn\'t get the vacation time during Thanksgiving because I was originally going to miss the Porter\'s show but make it up beforehand at the Stone Pony. Whew.
well that sucks...
did the band cancel it or did the stone pony cancel it?
i don\'t think it was ever really confirmed.. looks like miscommunication, since the stone pony has had a comedy show for that date since the day the band announced it.
they\'re gonna work on rescheduling it, but.... the toad\'s show from July 17th was supposed to be rescheduled too...
hmm...let me quote from my NYE thread....and add
"What is up with the new company they signed with?"
It doesn\'t feel like they have brought anything to the breakfast table....
Maybe I will quit my job and pimp The Breakfast because I\'m not sure anyone is really doing it.
I hear that.....
I am ready to quit here and take on full time management duties for the band.

Just so you all don\'t get your panties in a wad....
The Club was bought out for the night by a private concern. They also are paying the bands guarantee for giving up the night. Which would not have happened if The Agency Group was ot involved.
We are working very hard to finish and start the promotion for the CD because it has really been a couple of years since the band has had a high profile product out. Bands in between releases typically have difficult times keeping the calader filled and drawing in clubs away from home base.
Bona Fide was not really well supported by Sonance Records, so we need to really step up the game for Real Radio.
I know some of the current dates, such as the New Years Eve Toads thing might be odd, But that date will pay the band well, but leave the burdon of promoting the night to Max Creek.
The point os, most of our attention and energies are focused on getting the CD out in promotion. What is going on right now is maintenance stuff to keep the band paid until then.
In other words....don\'t panic. The best will be coming next year.

Producer Guy.
Thanks Vic. I am eagerly awaiting the new release.
