Oh yes, the air was also precipitating with Pabst when Walsh dropped a FULL CAN straight onto my domepiece, soaking my whole head and my friend in front of me. Good times. I haven\'t been that drenched in beer since a whole two months ago when the Red Sox won.
i just got done saying to mike how last night probably set a record for most alcohol ever worn by a crowd at a breakfast show. people were soaked!
much more later...
i\'m doing laundry right now. my pants and the shirt i wore last night smelled like a frat party.
it made me smile.
much love to all of you who made last night very very special.
hugs
I kept my clothes clean all night, i don\'t know what you guys are on.
Last night marks the official first time I shed a tear during LDZ. Go Figure!
i cried during latg. but that always happens.
I can not even begin to put the experience from last night into words. Lexi def came close though, choice words my friend. A very emotional night. The second set had epic writen all over it. And to top it all off a L&TG mosh pit :wah: who\'d a thunk it. Which I beleive may have been the serest Breakfast mosh pit ever. I want to see pictures of that Todd.
also real quick - apologies to those of you who sent setlist inquiries and got no response from me. although i had my phone plugged in all of thursday night and friday during the day, it didn\'t charge and my battery was dead before show time.
No worries... I fell asleep about five minutes after I sent that IM. I probably slept better not knowing the specifics of the rager that I missed because of my 1-7 (0-6 in the NE-10 Conference) basketball team.
oh - anyone know if the show sold out?
The quote of the night though was the black man trying to raise money for Africa outside the venue.
:comes up to walsh and me:
says to walsh: \'you my nigga.\'
says to me: \'you my nigga nigga.\'
that man knew his
****. DARKNESSES!
First off....It\'s really funny that there are multiple other reports of being totally drenched in beer because I got what felt like at least a half of can of pabts on the dome when ellis crashed into the pit hahaha.
it was like winning the world series though, the mood was so ecstatic that the drenching actually seemed appropriate.
There was mad love and electricity in the air all night.
Wonerful wonderful vibes and tunage.
The mosh pit was ser.
Best chase ever. Hands down. Never played a version even remotely like it or approaching it in serness.
Witnessing a version like that of any song tells me this band is capable of anything. I mean ANYTHING.
Whole second set was top notch.
From the chase onward to the end of the show was just emotional sensory, blissful, overload.
No point in reviewing it further.
I have only made the following comment once in all my reviews of shows and that was for Jordan\'s last show at beardslee but honestly....
You just had to be there.
Infinite thanks to band.
Bfam, I Love you all.
See you again very soon!
rumor has it that it was sold out.
wow. the playing was perfect. the segues were unreal. the crowd was possibly the greatest crowd i\'ve ever been a part of. tribal>superfly>tribal. the best intension ever played with an unbelievable segue to hardluck. beautiful in every way.
i liked the way matt came out by himself to start off the second set. love that guy. what a perfect fit for this band. normally i\'d be like, "oh, the chase...good but i wanna hear something else." this one was the master of them all. i mean, what the
****?!?! then the gladys that was just a complete physical and mental overload in everyway it could have possibly been. i really don\'t know what to say. then to have it go into hard luck, i mean i knew something was gonna go into it, but jesus christ. i liked the little intro to ldz, it made me smile. i got a few emotional chills during that one. i got a lot of those last night.
i don\'t know if anyone really could\'ve guessed TLATG would\'ve encored the show, but man was a hard one to get through. i mean i really don\'t take a lot of lyrics seriously, but i couldn\'t possibly be more grateful to have met all of you. i really mean that. i had to shove it down deep for that line. i would\'ve never gotten together with jen. i would\'ve never met any of you. the times i\'ve had are and were some of the best in my life. i\'ll never forget it. i hope it never ends.
well that\'s it for me. sorry to get all sappy or lame or whatever. dave take all the time you need for this one, my friend.
what a night.
<<< looking forward to toads place
i\'m looking forward to telling one of my best friends from high school who lives in paris and is only here twice a year that i\'m blowing off her engagement party for toad\'s place.
\'yeah, can we just hang out earlier in the day?\'
rumor has it that it was sold out.
i bought my tickets for this show a head of time, should i do the same for toads?
{x-posted in the chase forumn}
Other than that, it was a great show. I really have to plan my show days better or something, this was the 3rd show in a row that I almost fell asleep on the way back.
Maybe I\'m getting old.
so I wasnt the only one that thought it was one of the best 2nd sets in a long while the jammin was incredible, gave out about 300 hugs to the fam great great show just great
