Unless anybody has setlist knowledge to prove otherwise, The Vermont Song was an unplanned first encore in my book.
the guys weren\'t going anywhere. they still had one song to play. they just sat back and let us make a lot of noise for a couple minutes, cause, well, we were.
And if I may reiterate my comment to Dave last night:
"Nobody is ever happier to be here than Matt Oestreicher"
i kinda wish this was more than a 3-week thing.
great reviews folks
:banghead:
i loved that caitlin\'s little sister was calling out for a \'honey butter\' encore. smart girl.
oof! That and peaches little "smile on my face" dance. Oh yea, and the vocal jam. And the crowd that never stopped screaming from the end of vermont until the start of honey butter. and the band intros during the vocal jam. And that\'s just the encore. :wah:
Dave, I\'ve been thinking the same thing. Cori said it best last night, "They should do this every week."
what a show! they need to do this more often. i\'d even be willing to *gasp* pay to see them there. everybody\'s hit the highlights already...overexposure and honeybutter were 1a and 1b in my book. and major props to dobson with the soundsystem hook up. i can\'t wait for next week...even if there\'s no pigroast.

my thoughts of the show..

seeing as we were starving,i grab a menu and the bistro steak sandwich on a bagette had my stomach rumblin like the rumble in the bronx.
i notice that matt has keys setup and i look across and lil wah/aliyah wah stretchin and gettin ready to bustout some of the sickest moves you guys have ever seen by 6/7 year olds...
things were great!
then i was told that if i wanted to stay,i could leave my kid in the other room, oustide in the cigarette section or lock her in the car(but leave the windows
****/radio on)..
serious lack of communication.
thanks to spacey for callin me and counting 6 kids runnin around havin fun.what gives?

Wait... WHAT?
basically.
she told me we could leave the kids in the bar area as soon as you walk in(figure that one out),or the outside area, which is basically the smoking area.
i was joking about locking them in the car,but im almost positive that it went through her head to suggest it.
What an amazing end to a great weekend of music. That second set was off the charts...really over the top. I would give anything to have them play there acoustic every Sunday! Folsom Prison was a very good version last night also.
Love seeing all you crazy cats.
btw....folsom replaced what was supposed to be hotel california on the set list. (i peeked....it helps a newbie out)

I thought I heard Matt tuning his guitar (which he never played) while playing Hotel Cali.
Also, I forgot about this until I listened to the recording while suffering at the gym, but during Tim\'s jam into Psygn, I had a strange feeling that they were about to play "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)". Apparently Ron thought the same, as I saw him mouth the words "Kenny Rogers" to Adrian. No complaints about Psygn, but a Kenny Rogers bustout would have been epic.
In regards to Jake\'s, the place sucks to SBC-like levels (though for different reasons). But shows like the one yesterday will definitely keep me coming back.
