considering how fukked the speakers and sound balance between the different instruments was at the Solar Stage for Breakfast I\'d just wait until the next 4-piece show to bother downloading anything

but if it\'s a sound board recording would that matter...... where does the sound board recording pick up the audio.... before the speakers right? unless it was a wire going into the sound board that was F\'ed

The stage right speaker problem was with the cable.

I saw Derick by there. Probably his wookie sweat dripping onto the wire.

Great article on BLOWS, I mean BOSE. I\'ll slip in an edit on my original post in three months when all is forgotten. Anyways, glad I\'ve never purchased any equipment from Bose. It was always too pricey and actually now thinking about it I have NEVER appreciated Bose systems in cars. I can\'t tell you how many times I\'ve been told to "buckle up and get ready for this sound biatch!" and just affably bob my head with a smile without any feeling of being floored. I bought a Logitech set for my computer for $130 and tunes sound just lovely.

Thanks for the info. here on .info, I\'ll never be a Bose-consumer-sucker.

we\'re unfortunately stuck with bose speakers in our new car. 10 speakers.. it\'s not horrible, but there\'s definitely things that bug the **** out of me about it (that probably wouldn\'t bother a lot of other people).. but we didn\'t buy the car for the stereo, so.. it\'s fine.

yes.

I would never rave to anyone about them.  But I\'ve never complained about them either.

However, over those 18 years, I\'ve moved 100 times.  They\'re the best movin\' speaker you can buy.

Interesting. Then I must retract my prior statement about never hearing them, of course, I don\'t even know what good speakers are.

This first show was a whirlwind for me.  keyboards that I never played before at awkward heights, getting used to playing standing up, realizing that these guys do alot of spontaneous stuff on stage.  Basically, I had no idea what i was doing.  I got alot of learning to do.  Got some new gear (Hammond XK organ, Yamaha Motif).  I\'m gonna end up with 5 or 6 keyboards up there.  Maybe some other kinds of toys also(punching bags, newspapers, radios, video games, etc).   In the first press photo for the band I am kinda hanging back.  This is because in the first (about 6) months I will be learning the tunes and basically try to keep up with these guys.  After that I will start bringing more of my tunes and vocals and general craziness in the mix.   Lots of new sounds/stories in the works.   So (I)we may sound a little sloppy in the beginning but soon enough well have lots of ambience, intense jams, video stuff, new tunes, sit-ins, more unexpected stuff, and who knows what else.  It was so great to see everybody there on the beach.  I am really looking forward to connecting with everybody musically and otherwise.  I am so lucky to have stumbled into this incredible band and community!  Ok, I better get back to practicing the Bisco set.

P.S. we had a little jam in Brooklyn last night at Studio B for the after party of the Disco Biscuits and Umphrey\'s show.  I got to jam with the drummer from the Disco Biscuits and the keyboardist from U-Melt.  They were great!  I also played with a group called BioDiesel(live electronica/ drum n bass stuff).  They were quite amazing.   so much music to check out!  see you at Bisco!

I like the honesty. Keep learning, keep playing, stay fresh.

i used to work for bose.

they\'re not HORRIBLE but they are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced.  their target audience is 30-40+ professionals not audiophiles.

they\'re honestly worth about 50% of what they charge.

kind of like designer purses/clothing where you pay for the name.

i worked for over a year on the newer lifestyle systems.  what a piece of **** that thing was.  looked nice though.  and people bought it cause of the name.

their marketing budget is obscene.
