I saw this festie advertised as "Rack n Friends"  would this be the same guy that used to run around with the infamous fast eddie?????

I am not sure who fast eddie is, but i am pretty sure you are on the nose with Rack......He was over at the van paying Ronnie and I felt like I was in a scene from the movie Rush.  Def Sketchapalooza.  However a good time was definitely had......

Fast Eddie is his brother.

I was pleasantly surprised by the "festival" it was a very relaxed atmosphere. There was some food vending and regular vending. Only like 2 to 4 vending maybe a little more. It had a picnic like feel to the whole thing.

Other than the music organization (ie who plays where at what time) I though it was a pretty fun night.

Certainly was cool that you could have bottles. I almost forgot what it was like to drink beer out of a bottle at a festival.

The only other real complaint other than music orginization would be the fact that there wasnt even a stage at the second stage.....it was literally tarps on dirt.......they did bring 2 wooden pallets for the bass and guitar amps but other than that it was pretty much a doozie stage set up..........

Mike, how did the Breakfast Gypsie Tamboureen Section come out on the tape?

The stage was tarps on dirt, and the power was coming from an extension cord running from the window of an old bus parked behind the tent.
So needless to say, there were no lights?

That must have been a nice treat!

Light travels faster than sound. That is why some people appear bright...until you hear them speak.

I am pretty sure that the lights, think christmas lights strung behind the band as well as a light ball (think old school breakfast light show circa 99/2000) was the main reason for Tim\'s power issues during the set........Where I plugged in his power supply while setting up was not even close to where I unplugged it from after the set.......

Pretty powerful Christmas lights there. I doubt they were the cause of your power problems. More likely dirty and not enough power caused the outage.

I am pretty sure that we were working off of one power strip for both tim and rons gear, possibly including the PA as well......

The problem with the lights was that they were trying to plug them in and set them up during soundcheck > beginning of the set......so someone **** something up back there....

Yikes! That\'s no good.
Tip to save your musicians trouble: Always check your stage right before show, anything related to power that you or Ellis did not do YANK! (well ask Ellis what he did and check it first ;) )See what happens and apologize later if need be.
People think power is power and just plug **** in where they see a plug. Most have no clue what the **** they are doing when it comes to power distribution.

The stripped down version, no keys and adrian on a much smaller kit, was actually quite ser.  I would love to see the same setup on the boat this friday.  Balls to the **** walls, kick you in your face, and step on your throat rock and roll, with the triumphantness of a Col. Forbins ascent to the top of mount icculus......ser biz indeed.

you just don\'t want to have to load and unload all the bands **** on to another boat. Hopefully they let you park a little closer to the boat than NYC.

good assumption however totally wrong.....we basically had to unload the whole trailer anyway in order to get to ronnies bass cab, so its really no different......I have no problem loading and unloading gear brah.  that is kinda my job........hopefully the load in/load out will be more convienient than the nyc boat.....either way it should be a rockin good time.
