that was def ser. those fresh cut teases were evil... i think fresh cut is the new ep. 2 : epic and shelved. obviously the garcian-wich was GRIMEY.  Tribal Funk Affliction was the epitome of greatness. i got a little emotional during first set, i think i shed a tear during the garcian fishbols reprise. life is good.

that show looks **** ridiculous. i got a text on saturday night saying how i was missing out on a rujah sighting...
as far as the turnout being low in a town where the band usually pulls in a good crowd, that\'s kindo f what happens when the show is announced less than a month before it takes place.

MANY thanks to Frank... er, Paul for driving us hooligans home to CT! When I wasn\'t sleeping, I was laughing lots! Between your 2 liter Canada Dry bottle, Mandler\'s smiles over beer @ 11am on a Sunday, and TKA\'s bartering of beer for quarters, it was def a silly ride home ;)

 VT is a long drive when you are the only one awake and fighting off what turned into a cold 2 days later. Add to that, the only sleep you got was a few hours in a latenight room... OOF.

The show was great though, thanks to treychica for driving me up. Gongzilla was one of the best openers I\'ve ever seen. In other news, it\'s 6pm on monday and the twilight zone is still going strong on scifi

what a New Years Run......After 3 nights of Breakfast like that who needs a NYE show?
The Garcian sandwich was the highlight of the first set with seamless segues throughout, the best being the Phaddy>Attraction segue...prestine.

The Hardluck Harry Jam and the ending of Earache were 2 of the most intense breakfast musical moments I have ever had in the past 7 years.

The Gypsy Girl solidified it as the best ballad in the bands repetoir in my mind.  The more this song gets played the better the harmonies will get and then people will finally realize that the breakfast is more than just a balls to the wall progressive rock jam funk fusion band, but understand the talent musically and vocally that these guys posses.

Thanks to Chris, Alex, and all the amazing people at Nectars for taking care of us and I hope to see you guys again real soon.....

But back to the show.   The MVP of the night was unquestionalbly and without a doubt Greg "Johnny Upstate" Ellis.  His working of the lights was right on all night long. The Gypsy Girl lights had eyes wide open and mouths agape all song....Kudos to Johnny Upstate for he is truly coming into his own and making a name for himself in Lighting Design through out this great land....I am glad he is on our team....

.

It\'s that good even without the several-minute piano jam (essentially the reason I dig it so hard)?

I thought the whole nectars show was better than Toads........

Gypsy Girl, to me, is all about the harmonizations between all 3 bandmembers.....The "jam" in the song is just fine without piano.....
