Who is Jim Kost and why was he playing keyboards on Vermont Song?  I had to look twice as I thought it said "Jim Koch"

HGMN 10/25/04:
Mountain of Venus\'s newest member, keyboard player Jim Kost, most recently of the Steve Kimock Band, is also highlighted by this older material, and his extensive background, including studies at the Berklee school of music, and experience with musical styles ranging from classical to jazz to rock, is a clear asset here. Jim uses his experiences with Steve Kimock (a musician with whom MOV has played several shows) to integrate himself into the band\'s sound and also to work with and challenge Mike to create sounds and music that, in turn, challenge and excite the crowd.

Don\'t shoot the messenger it\'s not his fault...
It\'s just a drag when you\'re the last one to know.

so what excatly does this DO for the breakfast WITH the fact they do not have a full time keys player at the moment?

I know it was a sit-in but this just peaked my curiosity.  Sorry I wasn\'t thinking when I was typing this I was trying to listen to the Lions game at the same time. It\'s no excuse I guess it just means I should do one thing at a time.

Mountain of Venus, ehh.  i haven\'t seen that band in a good while.

if i remember correctly the only time i saw anyone from MOV was at HSMF \'03. their singer sang Whipping Post with Psychedelic Breakfast and i just happened to walk up to the show with no expectations. needless to say they opened with Rufus and i was confused -- couldnt understand why i didnt here any hype surrounding them.

anyways, if this guy is a new addition to a different band is it safe to say he\'s not the one to fill Jordan\'s shoes?

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

what?

At this point, I\'m not sure if Rujah-speak should elicit responses from us.  There doesn\'t ever seem to be any quality control at the keyboard.

you are really starting to freak me out man.

pretty tight show last night. loved hearing a vt song, peaches, phaddy, dig, tribal, ldz, hdz, ad\'s drum solo...

i\'m gonna go out on the line here and say that i officially do not like surreal radio. it just doesn\'t do it for me.

I think you go out on a limb, not a line.  "Going out on the line" would mean either starting at offensive tackle or dying from an OD of coke.

The only thing Surreal about that song is that people do like it.  Looking at that setlist(I know that they don\'t always mean good shows or bad), I am not too upset about staying home and saving $$.  Plus I didn\'t want a hangover for the big day today.

Jam->Language->TFA looks like the ONLY interesting part of that show.  There are alot of songs I would care less to see on that list, much better idea to go hiking and relax at home.  VT Song should be shelved, period.
Too fat for a tandem bike, and too drunk for a Mountain Bike...taste the fear.
