Garcian Fishbowl~ "an oldie but a goodie". they really did a phenomenal job with this one. straight from the get go you could tell it had some great energy. but there were points that were just sublime.

Cosmic Spaceway Rhyme~ not a fan, personally, but it was a decemt version.

Spunk~ back to the garcian\'s level of ridiculosity! ronnie\'s solo was HUGE and completely floored the crowd. lots of hoots and hollers for him from all! but the rest of the song was raging, furious but controlled, and flat out fun! my buddy was truly impressed.

Gravity*> Sundance > Gravity,~ *=Within You, Without You tease [BANANA]Whoo-Hoo!!!![/BANANA]
I literally yelled for the wy,wy as they were going off to wirte up the setlist, but it was dobs who came up with this \'wich! and they made it as killer as it sounds... the mix sounded really good in there, ron\'s opening basslines were popping nicely and by the time the jam rolled around they were really groovin\' along. they dropped the pace as they built up jam, but kept things moving and rolling nonetheless. it was a beautiful, fun jam and then i thought for sure i heard timmy throw out a line of something i thought i recognized and sure enough, sundance arrived!! gorgeous, rollicking jams into gorgeous rollicking jams! it was great!! they went so far out with the jam that even though i knew the were still inside the gravity, i wasn\'t real sure which song they were actually playing now... then they slammed back into the ending of sundance (i think there was some lick trading between jordan and tim in here, but it may have been at the end of gravity) then slammed into the end og gravity and you were done fer! they make it seem so easy to build up these monumental walls of energy, these blistering peaks of soulful and triumphant power, this mastery of the music pouring from them and the sheer joy and playful exuberance of musical discovery. and all to an ass shakin\' beat!

Phaddy Boom Baddy~ good jam, but i\'ll be honest, i went out for  smoke. i needed one after that last \'wich!

Tricky Ways~ brought the energy level back up and kept the crowd boogying. it was also a good tune, considering it was similiar to what melvin sparks was playing, so the crowd really dug it.

In The Flesh~ great way to finish off the show. fun, potent cover that every one knows. the crowd wasn\'t huge, but everyone was pretty in to9 it, it seemed like to me. bbut of course, i had my eyes closed most of the time....

Opened for Melvin Sparks.~ and timmy sat in for most of his set, kicking the whole place up in to party central!

^ Your review gave me goosebumps...after seeing them last week in Bloomington and Chicago, AND seeing the setlists from the rest of the week, I\'ve decided I need to pack up and move to the East Coast.

They\'ve got the musical talent to blow people away...just get the business end of things settled, and they\'re golden.

great review jason..
i enjoyed this show a lot on friday. great getting a sundance, i can\'t remember the last time i was lucky enough to hear one. ron really shined during spunk-i cannot wait to hear this show. i LOVE tricky ways and see how it is appealing to so many people. ser in the flesh at the end of the night. i wasn\'t really feeling the jew ma like how i did when i saw the boys play there a year ago. had fun at the show regardless. nice meeting wakenblake!
