So when did Gencs acquire Guitar tech skills?

Not bashing just wondering. For anyone that thinks it\'s an ez job, a real guitar tech has to have usable knowledge of how the instruments(amps included) work and how to troubleshoot them. It\'s not just tuning and restringing.

And why does Tim need a tech @ this stage anyway? Gencs did some fast talkin to get that gig.

His actual position is roadie. But he also knows quite a bit about guitars also.

Don\'t shoot the messenger it\'s not his fault...
It\'s just a drag when you\'re the last one to know.

Leith Gencs has alot of electronics skills and has a good understanding of guitars and the such.  Plus last time we were at Tim\'s he was talking about how he was very close to grabbing someone else to help lugging **** around.
Too fat for a tandem bike, and too drunk for a Mountain Bike...taste the fear.

Well good for him, but oh poor Tim.
Glad to see the guys building a crew bit by bit.

They can\'t depend on the kindness of tour rats to help load out  EVERY night.

:yay:I\'m so glad for Gencs!  He deserves the title more than anyone, and I\'m sure tB wants to have a roadie who appreciates the music instead of some new kid.

As for qualifications, leith?!  He\'s been playing/practicing/jamming on guitars as long as I\'ve known him, and he\'s always first to help TPalms (@ Richters & other TT shows) lug in his equip. & help set it up.

:lol:Besides, being called Timmy\'s "grip" is yet another dream come true for him...

The crickets and the rust-beetles scuttled among the nettles of the sagethicket. "Vamanos amigos," he whispered, and threw the busted leather flintscraw over the loose weave of the saddlecock. And they rode on in the friscalating dusklight.  --Eli Cash

There was no late night, they finished playing at 2:30 am (didn\'t even start until a little after 11). I had a 2-hour drive back to school that night and had to finish a term paper by 10 am.

Late night pics from tonight are confirmed, though :D

The Primus tease was a good idea. How did the Eminem tease sound?

From DAS BORT.

"no more than 20 people.  probably 4 were crew.  i dug it from the beginning, but the second set made me want to see them again immediately.  highlights: gravity, i am the slime

SONGWRITING PEOPLE...SONGWRITING...this is the key to good rock and roll...you might be able to jam with the best of them, but if you dont have interesting songs who gives a ****?"

Slowly invading the UM fanbase...... :)

yeah thanks for quoting me.

seriously though, i was very impressed.  i hope to catch another show soon.

ps - any other borters here?
