No dude a residency is what Timmy had @ Porter\'s every sunday. Also like his residency where ever he plays every wed.
The artists are "residents" in that venue. These ususally last a month or so depending on the venue and if they have other resident artists etc.
Good example is the Duo\'s residency last year in one of them NY joints.

all i know is that the guitartist from phix was definitely blown away by tim seeing how he let him have the stage to himself during funky ****, the crowd was really into it, it was a great show! phix can play phish\'s notes but they sure as hell can\'t jam nearly as well as phish or tim
