"But I can picture him with his jaw dropped walking off stage scratching his head thinking "how the **** does he do that?"

I really don\'t know what some of you are talking about.  It wasn\'t like that at all.  Phix and Breakfast planned to play with each other - they are JAM bands afterall!  They said beforehand they were going to sit in on phix\'s set for those songs!  Paul\'s comment about walking off stage was an obvious joke! The band members where smiling ear to ear at each other and enjoying the jam.

It wasn\'t like The Breakfast was "opening" for Phix either.  Breakfast really had the  better time slot with Zero next door.  This wasn\'t a battle of the bands - it was a mutual show.  The crowd was great and both bands blew the roof off the joint.  Don\'t know why all you here are dissing Phix.  There was no ego\'s between the band themselves and they played great together!  So did the crowd.  You all should respect Phix\'s guitar player!  He cut it up with Tim!   You didn\'t mention Phix\'s drummer (chris) who is perhaps the best drummer in Colorado also "walked-off" stage and let the breakfast drummer play!  He tore it up as well.  Chris didn\'t leave because he was saying "how does this guy drum like that" it was mutual respect all around!

Anyway, Yea, if a recording comes around you all should get a copy as this was a great show.  cotapers.org might be a good place to find it, but it isn\'t up yet.

thanks tstt! i figured it was more like somthing along the lines you\'ve said, but when its typed out like it was (and when you have as rabid fans as are around here), it screams for misinterpretation.

glad it was a good gig for all involved and let us know if the tapes show up sometime soon, please!

Pretty damn sure Tim never sits in with a band with a "Now...let me show these guys how it\'s done" attitude!!! Contrary to some people\'s belief, his ego hasn\'t gotten the best of him yet. And hopefully never will!!

We went to see Phix really, but we had seen The Breakfast in 2002? at a little place called The Utopia in Colorado Springs.  So we new it would be a good show.

We actually got free tickets to Zero next door so we checked that out for a bit.  Although there were 10 times as many people at Zero the energy at The Breakfast was much better!!!!

don\'t think phix sat in on any breakfast songs.

The capacity of Quixotes is 400?  There were at least that many people there.  A good crowd to start with - 300 or so.  During Zero\'s break - and the Phix/TB jam - the place was packed.  Probably over capacity.  People slowly trickled back to Zero, but a good crowd still stayed to see Phix. The front dance floor area was packed with freaks, the back pool area filled up (the pool players had to stop and listen to the music hahahhahha) as well as the smoking area!  Lots of good kind folks back there although the sound sucked in the back.

I only heard a couple of songs from Zero - it was good, but I wanted to get back next door as Quixotes had the better show going on.

And yea, this band is getting better and better - and they were great back then!  We told everyone we knew not to be late and miss TB.  The better part of the early crowd seemed to be the regular Phix/Phish crowd.  One guy we knew came to see Zero, but ended up staying through the jam with Phix and missed most of Zero.

Denver - Quixote\'s residency
Our residency at the Deadalicious new Quixote\'s True Blue in Denver is growing and getting better every month. Our last show on March 11 was off the hook! We had the amazing band The Breakfast open up and then had Tim and Adrian come up and play with us for a couple tunes. Thanks to those guys for sharing in the groove and making it one of our best residency shows yet!
Love many, trust few and don\'t be late.

^^NICE, that\'s good to hear...

What exactly is a residency show, just a show on their home turf?
