SO Dobs did not even record? hmmmmm
Did not even record ?? first of all there was a cord missing from the kit, and 2nd of all it isnt his responsibility to record, he had a lot more important things to worry about
Well if pieces were missing i understand but I KNOW what it takes to set up audio FOH and having recording set up while doing FOH is little effort. I know Josh is a good enough soundguy to get it done.
That is why I was wondering so chill out lil\' fighter.
i just don\'t see why they don\'t record right off the board for their own archives. wouldn\'t it be smart in case they wanted to go back and listen to a show and pick out what it is they liked and can improve upon?
****, they might as well just allow board patches as well, its not like they\'s be missing out on anything cuz of it.
That was my whole point. Most bands I know that have a sound guy record their show either w/ the club\'s equipment or their own. I was under the impression Dobs had the capability/equipment and has been recording their shows.

one would think that, but apparently not. when he does record the show, i\'m fairly certain its via davepeck\'s taping rig.
ahhhh I see. So Zones 1shows were recorded w/ Dave\'s Rig?
maybe, Bezerker gets a "team breakfast" recording rig?
just throwing it out there,
see if it\'ll stick,
ok
:slowly goes back into the shadows:
i bought a rig a while back (the edirol ua5/nomad jukebox 3, along with dobs\' r0de nt5s) that the band could keep in the van, and record shows that there are no tapers at. this doesn\'t always work out.. at this show specifically, there were some major issues because of a combination of water and dobs\' IEM system (not a good combo), and apparently there weren\'t enough cables or something either.
my goal is to get gabo trained on how to set up the rig and record, so dobs doesn\'t have to worry about it. that hasn\'t quite worked out yet either, but it will soon. mandler used to record the shows on the road as well.
the zones were recorded with dobs\' multitrack setup.. something he can\'t/won\'t/shouldn\'t travel with, and only brought out for special occasions.. this type of recording is very time-consuming (even more so AFTER the show), and is not an option for everyday recording.

Yeah water and electronics no good.
Ok now that makes sense. I thought Zones was done w/ Josh\'s equipment. Yeah that should not go on the road unless planned for.
Thanx
