Tim said that because he knew he was going to be playing Attraction. To us it may seem like Jam>x but to him it is x

scott and i made it in a few minutes before the band went on. i didnt have time to set up mics, but i plugged into the board. i got an alright recording, but its nothing great. the bass is very low and the guitar and vocals are very loud. i might post it some time this week.
just a curious question:why did it come out just alright? i ordered a cable for my d7 and since i dont have mics every bit of soundboard info can help.
also, is it a long process to transfer a dat tape to cd? and can you tweak the sound, like making it louder?

the sound is clear, its the mix that i am not too crazy about. In a soundboard mix you are recording what is coming out of the pa system and you are not getting the sound thats coming off the stage. The soundboard mix is not tweaked for recording purposes. Its only used to amplify whats not loud enough on stage as it is. It really has nothing to do with what kind of cable you are using.

Its not usually a long process. you just have to transfer the tape to your hard drive. you can add compression, or EQ it, or whatever you think is necessary.
And if you have any master DATs for shows that we don\'t have yet you can send them here to get them transferred.
