Well I missed IG through WTF because how the hell was I supposed to know the place was INSIDE Banana Joe\'s? Come on! There was no sign. Anyhow big place, not close to full, maybe because it was Beach Night at the bar next door. ugh. Highlights for me were the jam ending Doughboy (I think that\'s where it was, can\'t remember really, had too much to drink. Also a serious Escher\'s, which I really wanted to hear. A handful of people were really loving the band, many others seemed indifferent until Pgroove got on. Pgroove is a jamband. \'nuff said. Didn\'t sound like anything to me. But apparently they have a big draw down here so playing with them was probably a smart move for the guys.

hurrah, tonight, Aiken, which possibly may become my hometown. I love it down here, and so do my horses!

Yeah this will be the fourth or fifth place depending upon when exactly I met you. Guess I\'m not good at staying put.

joc, i admire your ability to get up and move to new places. i\'ve lived in ny my whole life but am thinking about a change. my boyfriend and i are thinking about moving to vermont when i\'m done w/ school in may. it takes a lot to leave everything behind and start fresh somewhere completely new. good for you. i hope i have the courage to do the same.

Aw, thanks Diana! It\'s funny, when moving becomes habit, then it\'s staying in one place that seems harder, and perhaps that\'s where I\'m lacking courage. (?)   I just don\'t like feeling stagnant I guess.... Where are you thinking of going in Vermont? That\'s a big change from NYC! I\'m sure you will love it though; I lived there for a while and I really miss it. Maybe I should go back there instead! he he he

we like the manchester area b/c it has basically everything you need (plus a really good breakfast place --- called \'up for breakfast\'). but manchester is also totally touristy, which we want to avoid. but we really haven\'t done too much serious research yet. basically we just love the fresh air up there -- it really clears your head and helps you to think straight. plus, we\'re kinda ski/snowboard bums, and vt is a good place to be for that.

new hampshire is also a very possible option for us. vermont taxes are so ridiculous and we prefer the laizze-faire gov\'t of new hampshire. can you say that you\'ve had an over-all better experience in either one of these two states, joc?

I think it depends a lot upon where in the states you go, and want you want to do there as far as work and living style go. I like the govt. of NH better as well, and of course it\'s more affordable. And state sponsored liquor stores! However, fall in certain parts of Vermont really is hard to beat.

I think it\'s probably 6 for one, half a dozen for the other.

I can sympathize Jocelyn!  I had a hell of a time trying to find that place too.  I couldn\'t reach any of the guys in PGroove on their cell phones because they were sound checking when I arrived so I called information and they said there was no listing for a "Headliners" in Columbia.  So I asked this guy walking out of one of the law offices there at 700 Gervais and he hadn\'t heard of it.  Little did I know I was in the parking lot the whole time!  Then accidentally started recording line-in instead of optical-in so I missed the first few seconds of IG too.  As the only place to set up mics was way up in the nosebleeds where the sound was bad though it wasn\'t the end of the world, and Chris and Matt from Atlanta both got rolling on time.  Much better sounding room tonight in Charlotte so the tapes sound a lot better. :)  Looking forward to the tour coming to me next Sat @ Ziggy\'s!

I think parts of NH are really beautiful, especially the white mountains, but it does totally depend on where in NH you are. but more importantly, NH is kinda a boring state. there is a whole lotta not much. and it\'s god damn cold. dont get me wrong though, i\'m not trying to talk you out of it. we need more breakfast heads out here. as far as fall in vermont goes, well i\'d have to say i think it\'s a lot like fall in NH.

NH is anything but boring. All you have to do is walk out the back door...

Also: "but more importantly"? What could be more important that the natural beauty of the state? Its night life? No way! Well, maybe my priorities are confused, but...
