I have always loved the song... But as with just about every Breakfast tune out there, I am always more entranced by the music and they lyrics always come second, but last night I got to get a good listen to the words for Merge and had such a great moment.

For years now I have felt the pain of trying to merge with every stupid **** that wants to get on 95 or 15 or 84 or whathaveyou. It is truly one of the most aggravating things about driving. Other than obviously screaming many times in the past "MERGE MOTHERFUCKER",

I also came up with a personal nickname for every stupid **** that has no right driving on a highway, let alone posessing a drivers license....I would always call these jerks "merge-a-tards".....and sometimes it would be "Merge you **** merge-a-tard" or "Heavens to Merge-a-tards learn how to drive you old ****"......

so today I was going over the lyrics to Merge on this site (I always forget about that sweet link on here...thanks Peck), and now I love it even more than just the "bomb ba na na WAH na na Ba na na NA NA NA WAH WAH WAH"

Wow Wah, that is a bold statement from someone with a-many-a Merge under his belt......

Pretty ser solo timmy merge last night wah. It was great to watch you walkin out for a smoke and then were turned around immediately by the opening notes.....

Oh and today SUCKED ASS.

But what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger...

After just listening to it, its probably the best merge in 2001

I have to say the best merge ever was on 1-19-2003, its was a slow merge if that counts.

:awwyeah: slow merges most definately count matt....

:bounce5: the first time i was really aware of what merge was was probably one of marcial\'s last elm city shows, if not his last, (prior to last weekend...). there was a slow merge at a blues cafe show that was unreal, (so unreal that i would love to hear it again). :bounce1:

I will eventually dig it up on the setlist page on thebreakfast.net but not tonight.

Slow? Fast? What do you prefer?

I just like Merge. This slow Merge is awesome(4-25-08), fast Merges are crazy. I guess it depends on my mood. My vote is slow.

I seem to remember referring to one as a funk Merge, but I can\'t recall what show that was. I guess I\'ll have to go through all of the Merges I can find!
