• You are at the mercy of the available bandwidth of the parties that are sharing the bit torrent when you connect. So if there are only a few open Bit Torrent windows then the speed will be slower than when a lot of people have open windows and full copies. This is why when the torrents are new they move faster because the leeches still have their windows open and haven\'t closed them yet. It is when the initial full copies go out that Bit Torrent shgould speed up but all too often people close their windows and don\'t help others out
