If I can ever figure out how to transfer the video off of my camera, I\'ll offer up copies of it. :banghead: They certainly don\'t make things easy!!! :sigh: Anyone know how the **** to do this??? Resources? Links? The software that came with it is CRAP!!! Camera= Sony Digital8 dcr-trv280 HELP!!!!

Does your camera have firewire or usb outputs?

or

Did your camera come with a plug that can output to RCA? (or, the yellow, white and red round things like the ones in the back of your dvd player)? If so, it\'s easy.

do an analog transfer from your d8 tape to a minidv tape and then firewire or usb that sucker, save as .wav and flac it!

It has both firewire and usb, but I only have the usb cable. I do have the RCA jack for it also. You lost me at minidv on your last statement. (I\'m a fuckin\' PHOTO ggguuuyyyy!!!!!) Fitzy turned me onto Sony Vegas, which I just downloaded, but didn\'t install yet. I\'ll get back to ya.

Well....I think I\'m transferring it right now. :shrug: Wish me luck!!! If all goes well, what do ya think....should I just upload it to my server and give you guys a link or should I do a torrent? I have 97gb free on my server and, if you use an ftp program, you could probably grab it in less than a couple hours.

Also...I got an e-mail from Ken. He has audio of sets 2 and 3. I hope to hook up with those discs very soon!

todd, if you are transferring thru usb you are probably not doing it right. i think you are going to end up with a webcam quality video on your hard drive. you need to transfer thru firewire to get the video in full resolution. but if you are not authoring a dvd then maybe all you want is the lo res version.

:banghead: **** Sony!!! **** video!!! Fuckin\' fuckin\' ****!!! I know I changed the preferences to the max. that I could. But that means dick, because right now I can\'t even see the dektop of my computer. No idea what the **** happened! I had to restart Firefox thru task manager just to be able to post this!! **** COMPUTERS!!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!

Ok, rant kinda over. So, you mean to tell me, in order to get a decent **** video, I need to get a firewire card and cable? **** this ****!!! I\'m going back to photos!!!!
