adaptation is nothing like A beautiful mind (which sucked
****) or secret window (who the
**** would even see that?)
i dont understand how a person could put those 3 films in the category
adaptation is the best screenplay ever written....hands down!
i wouldnt quite go that far but its definitly a good movie. some people just dont like good movies.
maybe it was my hatred for nicholas cage that wouldn\'t let me accept it as a movie, i\'ll watch it again to confer, its been a while, but i don\'t recall loving it the first go around.
just pretend its not nicholas cage, it really is a well written film IMHO
It seems to me that a lot of us are willing to sit thru most anything trying to get laid
take a few bong rips and let it blow your mind... i think it\'s nic cage\'s best performance, and i agree, i\'m not usually a fan of his....but i
**** love him in that as Donald! Charlie is ok too, haha
thats why i grouped it in w/ the other films i mentioned. All of which have fictional characters that are figments of the main character\'s imagination. thats what I presumed his twin brother to be as well. Is that wrong? Does that make sense?
no he\'s not a figment of his imagination, not in the context of the film anyway
he is not a real person in real life, though he was nomiated for an Academy Award....
it\'s not like ABM or fight club, in the context of that film donald kaufman is just as real a character as charlie
Probably going to wind up a lot of people with this, but here\'s some of the movies I was glad I didn\'t pay good money to see in the cinema:
The Breakfast Club - yeah, I know any film with Breakfast in the title should be good, but this one sucked big time!!
And speaking of other way over-rated movies from the same era - Stand By Me......
:thumbsdow
What the hell is going on in this post man. Everybody\'s entitled to their own opinion but, next time I\'m in Wales remind me not to peruse your DVD collection...:wah: :banghead:
Hey at least you were prepared...

No problem. I think all who know me here have realised I have somewhat strange tastes in things on-Breakfast related.
Now, if we were talking some of my favourite films, rather than just those I enjoy when they are on, I\'d be talking Easy Rider, One Flew Over The Cuckoo\'s Nest, American Beauty etc
Oh yes, and not forgetting the first Star Wars film I queued round the block for when it came out in 1977!!!
easy rider is amazing, you gotta
**** worship lazlo kovacs! he\'s the reason that film is so beautiful
Ah okay, that\'s much better. One Flew Over the Cuckoo\'s Nest is great, but it hardly compares with the book. Then again when does any movie? I think Lord of the Rings does a really good job, but that even leaves a lot of good stuff out while taking a few liberties with the story.
BTW, queued!!! Not that we need any proof you\'re from England, but that does it right there. How\'s the weather over there these days? It\'s awful parky over here in the States. I really have to get to England, I want to have a real ale. Though I don\'t want to go to England only to get rat-arsed. I hear that black pudding is the dog\'s bollocks and I would be barmy not to have some if I was there. I\'m sure a lot of people go to England on the
**** but going down to the local all the time can cost a lot of quid. You don\'t get owt for nowt, as they say. Though I will gen up on all the pubs in the area and I\'m sure I\'ll be chuffed to bits with what I find. Sorry for all the British slang, I didn\'t want to appear like an ignorant septic tank. Hope I didn\'t drop a clanger.
:wah:
I was gonna go w/ the shocked banana... but this works too.
Don\'t insult Boombox like that... He\'s from Whales, not england. Not Cotswolds or the west country, heart of england or south central, but Wales. That\'s almost as bad as calling a scott a brit.
