Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I\'m actually looking forward to this. Supposedly this movie is a little bit dark compared to the original (this one tries to stay true to the Roald Dahl book that it\'s based on) . Plus with Depp and Tim Burton, how can they go wrong?

Jon, good look kid....
Cant wait to see it...

true that man. johnny depp is an incredible actor. even in that sub par movie, "secret window" he was fuckin great. i\'m pretty stoked, tim burton is a fuckin genius.
Finally a remake worth doing and a creative team worth doing it.

Much as I hate remakes as a whole, I have to agree. I love Gene Wilder, but as Wonka??? Didn\'t work for me, even when I saw it back in the 70s as a kid. Depp is far more suitable for one of Dahl\'s characters.; he should bring a touch of darkness to the role.
boombox, what do you check the board once every few weeks??get with the program guy...and ask cfitz when the tpalms richters show is gonna be ready for bt..
To be honest, I don\'t often check the IG forum as I\'m not a big TV/film fan other than sci-fi stuff eg Star Wars/Trek related, Stargate etc. I\'m also more of a fan of older British comedy shows which don\'t get shown or discussed.

Now why doesn\'t that surprise me?
I actually thought Gene Wilder did a good job, and the discrepencies between the movie and the book were more of a direction/script/production problem, not anything caused by his acting.
But I\'ll give Johnny a shot at doing it right.
I\'ll enjoy looking at him anyhow.
