As to the bears, the dharma proj also were using sharks. Badass. but somewhere last season, wish i knew what ep, but there is a fraction of a clip of a shark with the dharma symbol on it\'s tail fin. nutzzz.

i doubt its ben in the doffin, only because i can\'t imagine anything making him leave the island. other than maybe if locke were to usurp him and jacob told him to go. but i still don\'t think he\'d leave even then.

i\'m guessing this means there won\'t be any bullshit \'nikki & paulo\' episodes this season...thank god.  i have faith in the writers to still produce an excellent product in the alloted time

so ben\'s off the island...but is he one of the oceanic 6? something tells me he might not be.

i would say no, because he wasn\'t on the plane.

then again, it\'s lost, so you never know.

though we pretty much got confirmation last night that the island is in fact on a different timeline than the rest of the world, with the 31-minute discrepancy with the payload arrival.

our eyes only see blue sky, but the electronic blast disrupted the field enough for the sky to turn purple (higher frequency/shorter wavelength). the lower frequencies/longer wavelengths (communications) were wiped out.

the name on ben\'s passport - Dean Moriarty - one of the main characters from Jack Kerouac\'s "On The Road."

anyways, the way i see it, there is a connection between oceanic and dharma. since ben killed off all the island dharma, that\'s why they\'re after him. hence the gas masks they brought with them - they know about how ben killed them all off before, and don\'t want to fall victim to that again. oceanic staged the 815 crash at the bottom of the ocean to cover up the island - they don\'t want it to be found. the guy in charge of the operation who hired naomi last week made it clear - "there were no survivors". they\'re going in to get ben and that\'s it. everyone else is either going to be killed, or left to die.

i believe naomi is the only one who got this order though, and it\'s possible that the rest of the group (or some of them) do not know exactly why they are there (other than to get ben). i believe this is why some of the losties (the six) ARE rescued. the freighter people bring them back, and oceanic is then forced to make deals with the six of them in exchange for their silence about the existence of the island.

how does ben get off the island? i don\'t know. but the fact that he is now makes him a candidate to be in that coffin. sayid is now working for ben to take out people who are apparently trying to kill "his friends", whatever that means. elle had the same bracelet naomi had, so perhaps elle was also a special op hired by dharma. why was sayid acting like he knew namoi on the island? and why are they in berlin?

god i love this show.
