leon was fantastic this episode.
STEP IN THAT
****!
good bounce back episode from last week which sucked. THis weeks eppy got some pretty hard laughs out of me though.
I miss HBO. Gonna have to lobby for it. Missing all the fun on this show.
loved the bit with the Funkhauser memorial. the $50 bill was stupid though.
"If you weren\'t my best friend I don\'t know what I\'d do to you Larry."
(laughs) "He\'s not my best friend."
Havent watched eppy 4 yet... tomorrow after school.
season = average. expected though. Curb\'s best has been over for a few seasons now, but I\'ll always take more LD.
Well, after a second watch, I will say that I laughed more times than the first. But it seemed like this one was one joke (Larry\'s bathroom habits) stretched too thinly over an entire episode and it just didn\'t have enough other solid things to get away with it. For instance, I felt the whole skinhead thing was extremely stupid, and has been the case too often this season, the ending feel flat as a pancake.
Decent, but liked the other three better.
it definitely started out stronger. The ending could have really been funnier if they went for another angle. Is the black family really going to be there all season??? I mean, i do like the fact that Leon has become Larry\'s muscle...but still....
About as bad as Curb gets. Shoddy plot, four or five small laughs tops, rehash of the limo stuff from season two.
Highly suspect season. A show nearing the life-support stage.
I think it\'s safe to say that the shark has been officially jumped.
was able to watch the first two shows of the season yesterday. nothing great but still entertaining.
i thought it was about on par with the rest of the season. there were funny moments but the overall it\'s just not as on point and cohesive as it used to be
The freak book was pretty funny tho. And when after someone said something about aids in africa larry goes "heterosexuals can\'t get that right?" larry\'s version of \'charlie the limo driver\' was good too. way too much screaming tho. god damn!
they finally got the last two eppys up on on demand.. i thought both episodes were as people are saying. definitely funny moments, and too many overly dramatic ones. i really do still enjoy the show just for those few moments, but i think what we\'re seeing is that a show that just follows around a flustered funny man can only go so far as to still be realistic.
larry david is trying too hard now because all of things that made the first few seasons hilarious would probably be boring to keep regurgitating.
for fans i think this over-the-top business is a let-down, but for LD he\'s probably having a blast. it\'s more acting basically. i liked the juice of the show being improv, now it seems a bit more rigid to the storyline and too thought out.
i\'ll keep watching, but the best of Curb is clearly in the past.
leon was fantastic this episode.
STEP IN THAT ****!
definitely the funniest
**** in the last two episodes.
and the freak book
was hilarious for the most part.
the take back my toast thing was all recycled but it was funny as hell when LD was complimenting suzie\'s outfit..."great combo!"
"if you were my wife i wouldnt let you leave the house looking like that."
Ok. I liked this one. More later.
Last weeks had lot\'s of great lines....
"You don\'t understand how I operate, okay"?
"Check out the freaks Mr. McEnroe!"
"It give money to AIDS in Africa..."
Larry: "But that doesn\'t affect heterosexuals, right?"
didnt like this weeks much on first watch.
But it was hilarious when the exterminator stomped the rat dog.
kinda enjoyed last night. definitely classic watching the exterminator stomp the rat dog.
the exterminator reminded me of Farley.
