I went to see The Pirates Who Don\'t Do anything yesterday in North Haven and it was still playing there....

We tried to see it on Saturday, but Fandango had the wrong times listed for the theater.  Ended up at No Country for Old Men instead.  Given the reviews, I\'ll try to go again in the next couple days.

Definately worth seeing ASAP...there was something "napoleon dynamite" about it the way it was made and the great soundtrack.

funny funny stuff

Just got back from seeing it. All in all a decent albiet hipster flick. Benny\'s right, it definetly has that subtle pretentious Napolean Dynamite brand of humor to it.

Well worth the ticket price to see Michael and George Michael, and also Schillinger in a non-Aryan/homosexual role.

This movie made me go home and work on my screenplay (which had been gathering dust since my screenwriting class ended in May).

Why was that?
Inspired by a cleverly written movie or disappointed and determined to write a better movie?

Inspired by a cleverly written and quirky, yet accessible movie. I don\'t mean this in an "I\'m that good" way, but it feels like a flick that I could have written.

In an unrelated note, I\'m pretty sure if you didn\'t like Juno, it was "pretentious", and if you did like it, it was "cleverly written and quirky, yet accessible"... and neither one is wrong.

Awesome. If you think you have the talent then by all means follow that to whatever end it leads to.

I saw this a few weeks ago and though it was one of the best moives I\'ve seen in a very long time. It\'s funny that you said that drew, because we had almost the same conversation as we were leaving:

The writing on it was like seeing an awesome guitarist, you are so blown away you want to race home and practice like crazy because you want to be able to do something that good. Then you see the next scene (hear next song) and that one is even better and you hate how much you suck and want to burn your guitar and never see one again because you could never hope to be even close to that talented.

you know, how most of us felt the first time we saw tim play.

Can\'t wait for it to come out on dvd. Might even go see it again in theaters.
