CBS to air Johnny Cash tribute special on November 16
UPI News Service, 10/21/2005
Dwight Yoakam, Norah Jones and the Foo Fighters are among the artists lined up for a CBS tribute to Johnny Cash.
The one-hour special airing Nov. 16 will also feature performances from U2, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Allison Krauss and Kris Kristofferson, Zap2it.com reported Friday.
CBS is airing "I Walk the Line: A Night for Johnny Cash" two days before the U.S. release of Hollywood\'s Cash biopic "Walk the Line," starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.
The film stars will participate in the TV special along with actor Dennis Quaid, Zap2it.com said.

anything with Dwight Yoakam is surely not to be missed
Sheryl Crow performing "Ring of Fire" made me want to break my TV, pick up some of the broken glass, and slit my wrists with it. She seemed to randomly skip syllables.
thanks for the reminder.
HOLY SCHNIKIES!! J.L.Lewis is old, or shot, or both.
So am I glad I missed this??

The performances are mediocre at best (though Kristofferson kicks ass), but I love Johnny Cash, so it\'s worth it for me.
This Yokum/Krauss performance of "If I were a Carpenter" is awesome.
